About this video

In this forum, three renowned champions of freedom, from different institutions, analyze what the future holds for the cause of liberty and where and under what conditions it is most likely to prosper. In their discussions, the panelists explore human nature and emphasize that optimism, education, and individual character and responsibility are critical elements in challenging the threats to liberty. Finally, they discuss the creation of a charter city in the region and the importance of learning from visible examples of freedom and oppression.

About The Acton Institute

The Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Freedom was named in honor of the English historian, Lord John Acton (1834-1902) who is best known for his famous remark: “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Acton Institute’s mission is to promote a free and virtuous society characterized by individual liberty and sustained by religious principles. In order to carry out its mission, the institute holds seminars and publishes books, monographs, periodicals, and articles.
