Richard D. Hansen
Dr. Richard D. Hansen, an American archaeologist, specializes in early Maya civilizations. He is currently affiliate research assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology at Idaho State University and the director of the Mirador Basin Project. The Mirador Basin, in northern Guatemala, is one of the few remaining rainforests in Central America and was home to one of the earliest and largest ancient Maya cities.
