Dr. Charles Murray, W. H. Brady Scholar of the American Enterprise Institute, addresses UFM honor graduates at a ceremony the day before graduation. In his remarks, he explains that their perspective on the knowledge they have acquired will change in the future as they gain new experiences in their professional lives. He also emphasizes the responsibility they have to being wise and worthy of the gift of intelligence. At the end of his address, Dr. Murray was named an honorary professor of Universidad Francisco Marroquín for his contributions to the social sciences.
Charles Murray
Charles Murray is the W. H. Brady Scholar of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). He was a consultant for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and for the Bulgarian government as well as senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research and chief scientist at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). Murray holds a PhD in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in history from Harvard University. He is the author of several books, including Real Education: Four Simple Truths for Bringing America's Schools Back to Reality, The Bell Curve, and In Pursuit: Of Happiness and Good Government.
