Wikipedia is a fast-growing project that aims to provide free access to all human knowledge. Today, one of the main concerns is making this information available in as many languages as possible.

Jimmy Wales

Jimmy Wales is the founder of Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia created in 2001. He is a member of the board and chair emeritus of the Wikimedia Foundation that operates several online collaborative wiki projects, including Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikiquote, and others. He also serves as president of Wikia, Inc. Wales holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance from Auburn University and University of Alabama, respectively.
